My friend’s little boy Thomas was diagnosed in late 2023 at 2 years of age after concerns of late crawling and walking. It has obviously been a rollercoaster of emotions for Thomas’s family, but Thomas remains a very happy, smiley and chatty little boy.

DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys.
