By donating to or fundraising for the LD Appeal, you will be helping BCHC Charity to make a real difference for patients, service users, and their families and carers accessing LD services.

Story

BCHC Learning Disability Service user group are taking part in a 2 hour sponsored disco to raise money for the VIP Celebration Event, where the focus is on highlighting the amazing work and contribution of our Service Users.

This will form part of Learning Disability Awareness Week 16th - 22nd June 2025, with the theme of 'Do you see me? Learning Disability week is to raise awareness about Learning Disabilities, challenge misconceptions and celebrate the achievements of people with Learning Disabilities ensuring they are seen, heard and valued.

BCHC Learning Disability Division have a Service User Group who meet monthly. It is important that the service user voice is heard and is at the heart of care and services provided. The service user group support BCHC Learning Disability Division by sharing their ideas to help make the service better for everyone, raising awareness about important issues supporting with recruitment, and service improvement to ensure BCHC are delivering high quality safe care to people with Learning Disabilities
