Story
We are taking part in the EPT Mini Challenge Tulip Trundle by walking 5 miles on the 1/04/24 to raise awareness for ectopic pregnancy
We are doing this walk to raise awareness for an ectopic pregnancy, to remember our baby’s who sadly didn’t make it, for some of us this is still very raw and to get out and join in and do a challenge walk not long after surgery is an amazing thing to do!
A lot of women who sadly suffer with an ectopic pregnancy are sent from hospital scared, traumatised and left without any support or care, this charity provides information for those who experience the pain and trauma from having an ectopic pregnancy providing them with vital information and support.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust strives to provide information, education and support to those affected by early pregnancy complications and to the health professionals who care for them. Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester of early pregnancy. The condition affects around 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK and occurs when an embryo grows outside of the womb. The EPT believes that the deaths and trauma associated with ectopic pregnancy should be prevented. We seek to relieve the distress associated with the experience and provide ongoing support through their treatment and beyond.
The website, our information leaflets, and our range of support routes would not be here supporting people in their darkest days. We receive no government or corporate funding. As a tiny, niche charity, we rely on our fundraisers to keep us going.
