In the past year, close family members and friends have been affected by breast cancer. In support of people who mean so much to us, and to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, choosing this charity felt like an obvious decision.

We are asking for your sponsorship as on the 29th of October we will attempt to complete the UK National Three Peaks Challenge, which entails summiting the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) all in under 24 hours.

Around 59,000 women and 420 men a year, in the UK, are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable.

Here at Breast Cancer UK we are working to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.    

Breast Cancer UK provides practical advice and tips on how we can reduce our risk. We campaign for changes to national health policies to support prevention, and fund vital research to help improve our understanding of how to stop the disease.
