Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025 · 12 October 2025 ·

Today, and every day, seven young people in the UK aged 13-24 will hear the words “you have cancer”. By being part of our team in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, you are helping us support every young person through cancer.

Story

In October 2024 our little darling Wrenny Wren was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at the age of 4, she is now 6 months in to her 2+ year treatment plan of intense chemo. She’s an absolute legend and takes so much of her treatment in her stride, this is something no child or family should ever have to go through and you never expect it to happen to you.

Wren gives us so much strength everyday, her positivity and infectious energy puts life in to perspective and we’re so proud of how amazing she is.

Wren is receiving the majority of her treatment at The Teenage Cancer Trust ward at the LRI. The doctors, nurses, HCAs, chefs, play specialists and therapy workers are all unreal people that make our time on the ward feel comfortable and safe. Wren loves spending time in the playroom and playing with all the other children.

Me (Wrens mum) and Wrens Uncles are running The Royal Parks Half Marathon in October to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Any donation big or small can help fund this ward and wards just like it across the country. It also funds spaces for families to stay, spaces for children and teenagers to play or chill whilst going through their treatment. Some children and teenagers can have prolonged stays and the wards really do become a home away from home for a lot of families.
