Story
I am running the London Marathon 2025 to raise money for Spinal Research!
Some of you may know that my grandad has been living as a Paraplegic since the age of 18. He broke his back and suffered a spinal cord injury which left him paralysed from the waist down. Spinal Research is the UKs leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and we exist to beat paralysis. After being told at the age of 18 that he may not survive and still being here at the age of 76 he truly is an inspiration to my family! He has never let his injury define him and continued to work, travel to amazing places and raise 3 children. I will be running the marathon in honour of him and my wonderful nan who also is an inspiration!
Someone sustains a spinal cord injury every four hours in the UK. Living with an SCI often means a lifetime of health and care costs, as well as the threat of secondary healthcare complications.
With your help, we can #CureParalyis.
