Running means a few different things to me. Fundamentally it keeps me fit, however, it is more than this, running with friends on trails is sometimes the highlight of my week. It also helps clear my head and allows me focus on the challenges that life throws at us. It is the latter that has driven me to raise funds for The Kano Foundation.

Football plays a big part in my life, I love the game and I am lucky enough to be able to support my team whenever I have the time, without worrying too much about the cost. This is not the case for the children The Kano Foundation supports. Like running, football is about escapism and finding an outlet that helps remove us from the difficulties of everyday life, The Kano Foundation provides this for the children it supports.

I have run a few marathons before, but Chicago Marathon will be an entirely different experience because of why I am running. If you can spare few quid it would be greatly appreciated and it will go a long way to improving the life experiences of children that truly deserve it.

The Kano Foundation is a charity run by volunteers passionate about keeping football free for kids.

We believe attending professional sporting events is something that all children should be able to experience regardless of background and circumstance.
