Allan Georgiou-Park is raising money for Bodie Hodges Foundation
In memory of Freddie Orton

Ford Ride London-Essex 2024 · 26 May 2024 ·

5 runners will take part in the world famous London Landmark Half Marathon on Sunday 6th April 2025 for the Bodie Hodges Foundation, a charity that has real impact supporting families who have been bereaved of a child.

Story

It’s time for another physical challenge in memory of the wonderful Freddie!

Freddie Jack Orton, wonderful Son to Gemma and Dave and inspirational big brother to Harry, died peacefully on 15th July 2022.

It’s hard to believe that it is nearly three years since Freddie was tragically taken from this world far too early. Grief never stops, and the support needs of families bereaved of a child never stops. That is why it is my drive to continue raising money to support Bodie Hodges Foundation for as long as I can.

Back in October 2022 I completed a virtual Everesting, which involves climbing the height on Everest on my bike indoors on the Zwift platform. Last year I, along with some amazing Zwift friends, organised a 24hr event on one of the virtual mountains in Zwift to raise money for Bodie Hodges Foundation, alongside some other incredible charities.

The next challenge was meant to be Ride London last year, but an accident and subsequent head injury meant that wasn't possible (trying to get JustGiving to change it!).

But this challenge might the hardest I've attempted, given my current physical ability!! I will be completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April. The last 6 months or so has made this challenge even more daunting, due to aggravating injuries in both my knees! At time of this edit (07/02/25) I'm not back to being able to run yet, so just getting to the start line is going to be the biggest challenge. But get there I will - and if I have to crawl across the finish line, then so be it!

So, I would be most grateful for any donations to help Bodie Hodges Foundation continue providing the incredible support to those families bereaved of a child.

Thank you!
