Story
Every day across the UK, children and young people lose someone significant to them. The death of someone important can be the most traumatic experience a child or young person will ever face.
Winston’s Wish relies on voluntary charitable donations to support children and their families following the death of a parent, sibling or important person. Since 1992, they have helped tens of thousands of bereaved children and young people and, with your help, can help tens of thousands more during the most difficult time of their lives.
On 16th May 2026, I will be taking part in my first ultra marathon - 100km in 24 hours (the equivalent of 2 and a half marathons back to back) across the Jurassic Coast - to raise funds for this incredible charity.
When one of my oldest and best friends passed away at Christmas 2025, he left behind his 2 year old son who was his whole world. Seeing him try to process what has happened has been heartbreaking to all those around him and if there is any way of helping other children have access to more support and resources, then I want to do all I can to help.
Times are financially tough for everyone but anything at all really will make a difference to helping the lives of so many beautiful little ones who have had their worlds shattered.
Thank you so much & sending so much love.
And finally: Gilbert - this one's for you.
