What is Autism?

Autism is a life long developmental disability that affects 1 in 100 people. It affects the way a person communicates and how they see the world around them.

The Charity

We are undertaking this fundraising project to support Ambitious About Autism, the national charity for children and young people with autism. The charity supports autistic young people and their families, and creates opportunities for them to flourish, as well as championing their rights through policy work and campaigning. Marsh McLennan staff members voted to select Ambitious about Autism as our UK Strategic Charity Partner 2023-24 and are focussing efforts on working with the charity to transform the lives of young autistic children and young people in the UK.

How your donation can make a difference

- £150 could support an autistic young person to develop their CV and application technique

- £250 could pay for a 60-minute webinar for up to 500 participants, to help raise awareness

- £500 could provide 5 autistic people with tailored advice and guidance in 1-1 career sessions

- £750 could cover the cost of training for a small employer to help them make sustainable changes to their current recruitment practices

- £1000 could upskill 10 autistic young people to talk about their lived experience to new audiences

- £2000 could cover the cost of training for 50 carers and employability professionals

Raffle

We will be hosting a raffle, running to 22nd September, in support of Ambitious about Autism, with some great prizes up for grabs! These include the following:
