Why? You may well ask… because, I am still able to!

I am terrified of heights - not just, ‘a bit nervous’, I am literally terrified!

During a casual chat, with a work colleague, our conversation got around to him doing a Skydive, not sure how, but it did. 

We talked about it in great detail and my heart rate was already increasing.  This made me think, seriously, about my fear.  He then went on to tell me how amazing it was and how proud he was of himself (he too, is terrified of heights).

This got me thinking - if he did it, maybe I could too? So, you can see how where this story is going …

I work for an amazing charity, Age UK Milton Keynes. Each day we make a difference; I like that!  I work with a great team who support the MK communities with social needs, housing issues, financial difficulties; Our service is called Social Prescribing - if you haven’t heard of it, look it up. Not only do we support people in their later years, we also support younger men and woman who sometimes just need a friendly, trusting Link Worker to find out, ‘what matters to them’.
