Story
We chose the RSPB for donations to remember our father, Doug Roberts, because he loved nature, he loved walking and he loved birds. So many of our memories of Dad include birds: from the jackdaws that used to nest in the chimneys in the houses behind our house in Marske; to the fledgling tawny owl we helped look after on the farm where we stayed in the North York Moors. He would be pleased to support the work of this charity.
Here's how the charity describes itself:
RSPB are passionate about nature, dedicated to saving it. Since we started on our mission in 1889, the threats to nature have continued to grow, but we've grown to meet them too.
We’re now the largest nature conservation charity in the country, consistently delivering successful conservation, forging powerful new partnerships with other organisations and inspiring others to stand up and give nature the home it deserves.
With your fundraising support and donations to conservation you can help us to give nature a home.
