Porchlight was originally founded to help people facing the devastating effects of homelessness, but today we also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality and mental ill health.

Right now, the need for our services has never been greater. In the last year alone, thanks to our incredible supporters, we’ve been there for almost 6,000 people across Kent and Medway.

I have decided to take part in the Firewalk on 5th March - a challenge that demands courage, focus and determination — to raise vital funds for people in Kent who have faced unimaginable trauma.

I have been inspired by someone I first met 20 years ago who faced great difficulty. They have been supported by Porchlight who have helped them change their life for the better. It has not been straightforward for them but they have shown enormous courage and resilience and now provide support to other vulnerable individuals.
