Story
On Sunday 28th April Allison and Mike are cycling around Loch Ness - yes, all 66 miles of it including the 5 mile King of the Mountain section with a climb of over 1200 feet!
So there has to be a good reason that this plucky mother-in-law / son-in-law duo would be taking on the gruelling Loch Ness Etape - one of Scotland’s toughest cycling challenges.
And there is!
The blood, sweat and tears is all in aid of the amazing work done by Bikes for Refugees Scotland. This brilliant charity does what it says on the tin. In providing bikes for refugees it’s supporting people into employment, helping the integration of folks from all over the world into our communities, as well as promoting health and wellbeing and giving the opportunities for families to get out and enjoy the beauty of Scotland!
The challenge for both of our intrepid cyclists is massive; but it’s particularly demanding for Allison given she is twice Mike’s age! She’s hoping he’ll either give her a bit of slipstream benefit or there might even be a tow rope in her saddlebag!!
It will definitely help them both to know it’s all worthwhile if their friends are generously supporting Bikes for Refugees - please give if you can. All donations, large and small, will be gratefully received.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
THANK YOU !
