All of the team at Allister and Simpson opticians are taking part in the Diabetes Wellness Walk on the 19th May 2024 – As a team we want to help raise as much money as we can to support people with Diabetes, promote wellness and make a positive impact for people living with Diabetes.

As a practice we understand how vital health and wellness is to people living with the effects of their diagnosis. Mr Simpson undertakes hundreds of Diabetes eye screening health checks every year in the practice and we all want to come together and do our part in raising more awareness and making a difference.

We are fundraising for Diabetes UK to keep specially trained helpline advisors answering the phone, getting people through the difficult days and supporting them to overcome the challenges diabetes brings. It could pay for local support groups, changing lives one cup of tea at a time. Diabetes can also be scary. It can cause complications like sight loss, amputation and stroke that so many people living with diabetes face.

Together, we are walking for a healthier, happier future.
