Dunton Bassett All Saints Church has been enjoyed by the village and the wider community for over 1000 years. Unfortunately, its days may be numbered unless we do something drastic. This church will run out of money in 10 years and, sadly, will end up being sold or closed. This is due to the vicious circle of an ever decreasing congregation - its services now only being held monthly - and of course, the ever present rising expenditure. It is simply not viable in its current form.

But this church can still be saved. John Roberson and a small team has, after 5 years battling various obstacles, finally got permission to re-order the church and has raised, through grants and donations, enough money to start the project.

This space will be transformed into a warm, open, flexible and accessible space for the whole village community to use. The pews will be removed in order to lay a new stone floor over underfloor heating. It will be able to accommodate meetings, activities, clubs, functions and still be a place of worship.

Thanks to a great group of volunteers of all ages we have formed a committee and started fund raising in earnest however we need your help. The support of the local community and those further afield will mean we can turn this space into something really special so please, donate now if you can and share our story.
