Founded 20 years ago in Manchester, but now also with a national reach, The Proud Trust has a long rich history of changing the lives of LGBTQ+ young people. While huge progress has been made, LGBTQ+ young people continue to face challenges and phobia, and are suffering needlessly. Young people tell us that their wellbeing is at an all time low so it is clear that we have so much more to do to ensure that LGBTQ+ young people can live full and happy lives without fear or shame.

We deliver youth work and one-to-one support across Greater Manchester alongside running the national training and inclusion programme for schools The Rainbow Flag Award, Proud Connections Live Chat and Mentoring, and we also manage Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Centre,The Proud Place.
