I'm fundraising for Rethink Mental Illness

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
In April 2024, I will be participating in the London Marathon to raise funds for Rethink Mental Illness.
I began running when my Dad was sick and I felt like there were so many variables that were out of my control. Running became the one thing I could control and it helped to keep me mentally healthy.
After losing my Dad to cancer in November of 2020, I felt completely lost. Once again I turned to running. I needed to do something for myself and to positively impact those around me who have been effected by cancer and the mental health challenges it brings to caregivers, family and friends.
To help process my grief, I decided to take on the journey of running the Abbotts 6 World Marathon Majors while raising money for causes important to myself and my family. I ran the NYC Marathon in 2022 for Sloan Kettering Cancer Research, Chicago Marathon in 2023 for Leukemia and Lymphoma society and I will be taking on the 2024 London Marathon while raising money for Rethink Mental illness.
I have seen how the trauma of watching a family member suffer with cancer effects the mental health of all those around them. I am proud to say I am running for a charity that provides vital services such as support groups, and educational resources for individuals and families in need.
I want to thank everyone who has donated or supported in the past and who continue to donate to these amazing causes!
