We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

I have decided to sign up to White Collar Boxing Event in order to raise money for CALM. Partaking in this event would require me to undergo 8 weeks of rigorist training leading up to fight night. I know this won't be easy but I will persevere through the training and deliver great performance on fight night.

The reason I have chosen CALM as my chosen charity is because I believe the work they are carrying out is essential within our society. The majority of us know someone who has died by suicide, either a member family , a friend or a friend of a friend.

The recent lockdown down took a toll on many. I lost a good friend of mine during the lock down who died by suicide and till this day there isn't day that goes past without me thinking of him or how I could have helped him.

CALM stand for Campaign Against Living Miserably, is a leading movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.

I would like everyone to support me on this journey by donating to my JustGiving in order to achieve my goal of raising £4000 for this incredible charity.

Thank You.
