I am fundraising for a charity called BacZac that is very important to me. They support young adults battling cancer by providing them with fantastic ways to ease the tough times with things like family’s days out and financial aid.

I will be attempting a World first by combining running and skydiving to complete two marathons in a day, as there isn’t an official name for this I have called it the Altirun. One marathon of running and one marathon in free-fall, a total of 52.4 miles, half horizontally and half vertically.

There are lots of logistics and support needed, as well as the perfect day for this to be possible. Therefore, I would anticipate this taking more than one attempt due to the uncontrollable elements needing to align. For these reasons I can’t commit to a specific date but currently I am aiming to attempt this in Summer 2025 by beginning the run in the early hours of the morning and the Skydive’s after. Most likely this will take around 15-16 hours. I will have a ground crew who will be helping to support the skydive section of the challenge by packing parachutes and ensuring I am fit to jump.

I knew Zac through school and university, it’s incredible to see how much of an impact he made on the Northampton and Nottingham communities, but no real surprise to anyone that knew him! BacZac still connects me with old friends through their various events but the work they do should be elevated and I hope you agree to support them!
