Story
On 21st December, Alton RFC will be hosting a charity rugby game to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice, an independent charity based in Basingstoke that supports people across North Hampshire who are living with life-limiting illnesses, facing end-of-life, or experiencing bereavement.
St. Michael’s Hospice delivers free, high-quality, compassionate care through a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and therapists, supporting patients, their families, and carers during some of life’s most challenging moments.
This cause is especially close to the hearts of all of us at Alton RFC. Two of our coaches and former players, Paul Cantoni and Alan Fleetwood, who were instrumental in the development of our Colts players, were supported by St Michael’s Hospice during their end-of-life care. This event is a way to honour their memory and give back to the hospice that supported them and their families.
