Story

Fundraising for Al Wahda, One Hope – Madrassa, Masjid and Community Hub

Al Wahda (One Hope) is a Charity serving the communities of Leicester.  We strive on common, universal, and Islamic values of harmony, growth, and success.  We believe that education is crucial for personal and social improvement.    Charity Registration No:  1200782. As part of our commitment to empowering people with high quality, Islamic Education, we plan to establish a Madrassa, Masjid and a Community Hub serving Hamilton and surrounding areas of Northfields, Humberstone, Thurmastonand Scraptoft.  Our education programme will be aimed at Children aged 4 plus with a purpose of nurturing the spiritual growth, faith, knowledge and understanding of Islam.  We are asking you to support us to transform these plans into reality.  Just a small donation from you will go a long way to help us achieve our target of raising £25,000.   Your donations will help us to pay for essential costs for our premises and resources.  It would also mean we can provide essential services to serve the wider needs of our community.  This includes provision of a prayer hall and in addition offering advice and support, counselling, mentoring, and coaching.  Our centre will be a distribution point for a food and clothing bank during Winter.  It will also be a venue for hosting activities and events for our communities so they can learn, grow, and boost their mental, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing. Your support will make a big difference to the lives of people in our communities and future generations to come.  Thank you!
