Hi everyone,

Earlier this year, I completed my first marathon in April! Somehow, this didn't put me off running forever, and I've decided to race again, but this time for an incredible cause.

This October, I am taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, to proudly raise money for the amazing children's hospital that I work at.

I've had the privilege over the years of seeing first hand, the life changing impact of how charity money helps the children under my services. Every year, we treat over 103,000 children and young people, many of whom might be growing up in very deprived areas of London with a high rate of poverty. This money goes towards vital items and projects their families or NHS budgets may be too stretched to cover, such as toys, books, games, media consoles, innovative medical equipment, staff education and other programmes to provide bespoke and additional support to children and families.
