Story

🧠💚 Running for Mental Health 💚🏃‍♀️

This year, I’m lacing up and running a 10K in support of mental health awareness — because mental health is health.

This run is my way of saying: You’re not alone. You matter & Help is out there🗣️

Whether you’ve faced your own battles, supported someone who has, or just believe in breaking the stigma, this one’s for all of us.

💚Mental health affects us all. Every single one of us. And yet, too often, it’s faced in silence — behind closed doors, hidden behind brave faces, or misunderstood entirely. I’m here as a daughter speaking as someone who has watched someone she loves more than anything, through the long, painful, and complicated journey of mental illness.💚

💛My mum has lived with severe mental health challenges for most of her life. She has been a frequent inpatient, for various lengths of time, for over 30 years. Thirty years of trying to hold on. Thirty years of being in and out of hospital. Thirty years of fighting a battle that too few people truly understand.

Some days she’s herself — funny, kind, full of love. Other days, she disappears into an illness that robs her of that light. And through it all, she’s endured more than most of us could imagine. Her strength amazes me. And so does the dedication of those who care for her, the nurses, support workers, therapists people who don’t just do a job, but offer dignity, compassion, and hope when it’s needed most✨

That’s why I’m raising money for Mind. Because they don’t just talk about mental health — they show up. They’re there when someone is at their lowest. They’re there when families like mine feel lost. They offer a listening ear, a place to turn, and a reminder that nobody has to face their struggles alone 🩷

This cause is personal. I’m doing this for my mum. And for every other mum, dad, brother, sister, friend, who is living with mental illness, or loving someone who is. For the people who don’t know how to explain what they’re going through. For the families quietly falling apart behind closed doors. For the ones who are still fighting❤️‍🩹

Every pound we raise goes toward changing lives, through support, awareness, and the chance to feel seen, heard, and valued 🫂

So I’m asking not just for your donation, but for your compassion. Help me shine a light into the darkness. Help me honour the courage of people like my mum.

✨Let’s break the stigma

✨Let’s raise awareness

✨Let’s remind the world that mental health matters.

Because mental health matters. Not sometimes. Always.

If you can, please donate and help make a difference ❤️‍🩹
