Story
On the 5th of July 2025, our dedicated Volunteer Team will embark on a personal challenge—the Croydon Library Walk—covering roughly half a marathon as we visit all open libraries within the London Borough of Croydon and connect with our community in support of Read Easy Croydon.
With your help, we can raise funds we require urgently to ensure that more adults across Croydon have the opportunity to learn to read and transform their lives. Join us in making a difference today.
Did you know over 2.4 million adults in England either struggle to read or cannot read at all. Being unable to read can severely limit one’s ability to participate in all aspects of day-to-day life. Everyday tasks like filling in forms, helping children with schoolwork, and reading letters and bills could be a challenge. Being unable to read also impacts employment opportunities, self-confidence, and participation in society.
Read Easy Croydon's mission is important: they harness the skills and experience of local volunteers to provide confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults in the Borough of Croydon. .
We are incredibly grateful for your support.
