Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
On Saturday 3rd October 2026, I’ll be taking on a 15km hike across the Malvern Hills to raise money for Basics of Sikhi. For me, this challenge is about much more than completing a hike. It is an opportunity to push myself physically while doing something that I believe can make a meaningful difference — seva.
I’m currently on my own journey of learning and becoming closer to Sikhi and Basics of Sikhi has played a huge part in helping me understand and connect with my faith. I regularly watch their videos, use their resources and have had the opportunity to attend their events.
What makes their work so powerful to me is their commitment to Sikhi Parchaar — Making the wisdom and teachings of the Sikh Gurus accessible, understandable and relevant to people around the world. Through education, they help people discover the principles of Sikhi and, hopefully, apply those teachings to their own lives.
I believe that sharing the Guru’s wisdom has the power to change lives. Whether someone is taking their first steps into learning about Sikhi, looking to reconnect with their faith, or simply seeking guidance and inspiration, the work Basics of Sikhi does creates opportunities for people to learn, grow and live according to the values taught by the Sikh Gurus.
That is why I’ve chosen to support them.
The 15km Malvern Hills hike will be a personal physical challenge, but I want to turn that challenge into something bigger than myself. Every step I take will be in support of Sikhi Parchaar and the continued work of sharing Guru’s wisdom with people across the world.
If the teachings of the Sikh Gurus can make a difference in my life, I want to help make sure that others have the opportunity to discover that same wisdom.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Basics of Sikhi, and most importantly, supporting the continued spread of Guru’s wisdom.
