Story
I’ve signed up for my first ever half marathon this October — 13.1 miles that I know are going to test me — but this one means more than just a run.
I’m doing it to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, in memory of our cousin Sunny.
We lost Sunny at just 38. No one expects something like that to happen so young, and it’s something that’s stayed with all of us. It made me realise how important heart health awareness and prevention really is because sometimes the signs aren’t obvious until it’s too late.
The British Heart Foundation funds life-saving research, supports people living with heart and circulatory diseases, and works to help prevent more families experiencing the heartbreak of losing someone they love.
So this run is for him. For raising awareness. And for helping fund the research and support that can save lives and stop other families going through the same pain.
I won’t lie it’s going to be tough. But it feels like a small challenge compared to what so many people and families go through.
If you can support in any way, whether that’s donating or simply sharing this page, it would honestly mean the world to me. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a difference.
Every mile I run in October will be for Sunny. ❤️
Sunny by name Sunny my nature
Thank you so much for your support.
