I've got a big birthday coming up and to mark this milestone - and challenge the stereotype that life gets less adventurous as we get older - I'm going to be doing a sponsored tandem skydive.

I'm raising money for CRIBS International, a brilliant small charity that I've been supporting for a while. They work with refugee women with newborn babies in Athens, Greece to help get them off the streets and to provide safety, shelter and emotional and practical support. CRIBS enable refugee women to access their own housing, to make asylum applications and make new lives for themselves and their families.

It's a tiny charity, mostly supported by voluntary effort. At a time when some politicians have chosen to stir up hostility, CRIBS is sending a practical message of welcome and solidarity to refugees. So please sponsor me and help make an outsize difference to the lives of families who have fled war and conflict.
