A few weeks before Christmas one of my closest friends came to see me and gave me the devastating news that her 17yr old daughter has stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. For privacy reasons I am giving her a different name and I have chosen Gabriella which means ‘Warrior’ because she is being so brave and is such a fighter.

I have known Gabriella and her family since she was 4 and our families have grown up together, had many adventures, gone through many milestones and supported each other through tough times……but this has to be the toughest yet!

So this January, I am taking on a challenge to support the Little Princess Trust 💛

I will be challenging myself to do 31,000 skips throughout the month of January — that’s 1,000 skips every day for 31 days — to help raise £700 for this amazing charity,. This won’t be easy for me because I am currently the most unfit I have ever been but it’s nothing compare to what Gabriella will be going through.

The Little Princess Trust provides free, real-hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. These wigs help restore confidence, dignity, and a sense of normality during an incredibly difficult time. The cost to the charity per wig is £700.

By pushing myself physically every single day, I hope to make a meaningful difference to the lives of others. Every donation, big or small, will help the Little Princess Trust continue their vital work and bring smiles to children when they need it most.
