Story
I turned 40 this year!
2024 will see my undertake a few personal challenges, for some amazing causes along with the rest of the Due North team.
In 2011 I attempted a half marathon in memory of my mum passing - while I did complete it - I was never happy with my result as I found the whole thing a huge emotional struggle as well as it being one of the hottest dates of the year.
At the end of April - I plan to re-write this memory and do myself and her proud.
I'll be fundraising for (MCT) Montrose Community Trust - who are a fantastic local charity who support a number of great initiatives around our area.
Including
Montrose Connections - A weekly social club supporting anyone living with mild โ moderate dementia.
Walk & Talk - tackling physical inactivity and social isolation
Free Kicks - Free hot food & football every Friday
Football Fans in Training - A 13 week programme to help people improve their alcohol intake and make healthier food choices
The Changing Room - Menโs mental health and well-being programm
Festive Friends - a festive lunch for socially isolated older adults, as well as delivering a Christmas hamper, consisting of a meal, gift and goodies, to the doorsteps of elderly adults that may not be able to attend the sit down meal.
As well as a huge amount of weekly kids programmes at schools and Links Park.
