Our Mission & Vision To provide a safe, caring and loving environment for orphaned or abandoned children. To ensure they receive quality education and healthcare, and develop skills in order for them to become responsible, charitable, well-balanced and productive adults.

Story

This month the intrepid heroes of Crescent House have been challenged to run, walk, cycle, swim, unicycle etc… 50km, in a valiant attempt to raise £50 each in support of Cameron’s Orphanage Project, Zambia.

Due to the generosity of our Crescent families and supporters last year, the boys raised enough money to build an entire classroom block, which has enable several hundred of the world’s poorest children to attend school.

This year’s mission is to get windows and doors installed and get the building finished and painted.

Whilst Housemaster Nick Chadwell was out volunteering in Zambia over the Summer, the local builder, John, was running 10km to the school and orphanage every day and then running home again every evening. This was all to ensure he could get work to provide for his family. At the end of the trip, the Hurst pupils bought John a bike so he could make this commute easier every day. The appreciation on his face was phenomenal.

Let’s capture some of that inimitable Hurst spirit once again, and together we can make a real difference in the world by helping a community in need.
