Story
We are a small project team (Amanda, Jon, Sally, Victoria and Fran) organising an art exhibition to be held at the Kingsbury Barn in St Albans between 27-31st May 2026.
We are fundraising to contribute to the restoration and enhance the gardens and surrounding outside spaces to the chemotherapy suite at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Mount Vernon is a leading specialist cancer centre in Northwood, North West London providing chemotherapy, brachytherapy, radiotherapy as well as research and clinical trials. The overall garden restoration project is the idea of Matt Biggs, horticulturalist, garden writer, broadcaster and long standing Gardeners Question Time panelist. Matt is a patient at Mount Vernon and decided to use his vast experience and contacts to transform the garden space at the hospital.
We would like the art exhibition to be as inclusive as possible and we are inviting professional and amateur artists to submit their work in a variety of media including sculpture, textiles and photography.
We are incredibly lucky to be holding this exhibition at the stunningly beautiful Kingsbury Barn thanks to the kindness and generosity of the Singer family.
Any donations received to our fundraiser will help make some beautiful garden spaces for patients, staff and families to enjoy.
