Story

In Loving memory of my MUM . On the 12th of September 2022 my amazing Mum, Jacqui Leeds lost her fight against Lupus and passed away , aged 79. For over 20 years she battled this debilitating disease that attacks healthy organs and tissues. although she was very poorly and in pain a lot of the time it did not stop her enjoying life , travelling when she was well enough , attending folk clubs and festivals, continuing with her creative arts and crafts, and of course still being her cheeky self !

To honour my brave Mum and many others who continue to live with this condition I will be aiming to raise £500 , hopefully more 😀 My challenge is to climb “100 Octane fitness miles” and lose at least 14lbs during the month of May . Gym kit on , food tracker loaded and WINE FRIDGE LOCKED !!! I’m ready to go

World Lupus Day takes place on 10th May each year and is an opportunity for lupus organisations around the world to come together to raise awareness and funds in support of the estimated 1.5 million people living with the disease globally.

You can find a range of activities to take part in on the LUPUS UK website at www.lupusuk.org.uk/world-lupus-day-may-10th
