At the age of 42 I will be attempting my first half marathon.

For a purpose, for a reason and for a meaningful inspiration.

This September, I will be taking on the iconic AJ Bell Great North Run, racing from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields to raise vital funds for Happy Days Homeless Charity — a charity at the heart of our Halifax community.

Every day, Happy Days works tirelessly to support and empower people across Calderdale who are homeless or facing crisis. From food poverty to the shortage of safe housing, the challenges in our community continue to grow, and the need for support has never been greater. These are basic needs and rights of any human being. We can support this. I want to make a difference because it matters.

A fiver would be amazing, a tenner would be just smashing and anything in between would be just super.
