On a Saturday afternoon in March 2017, Neil had a seizure on the floor of our kitchen. He was 41, healthy and had never experienced anything like this before, but in the following weeks Neil experienced multiple tremors and more seizures and was eventually diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable Brain Tumour.

Neil immediately lost his driving licence and underwent chemotherapy, quickly followed by radiotherapy and an ongoing cocktail of drugs. This treatment miraculously halted the growth of his tumour and coupled with Neil’s unwavering positivity and never ending love and support of his family and friends have resulted in where we are now!

This year Neil will be 50 in September and to mark this momentous occasion we will be attempting to raise £14k. Since 2017, we have raised £36k for The Brain Tumour Charity and an additional 14k will make it a nice round £50k (50@50).

Sadly, Neil is not the only member of our circle of family and friends who have been affected by this horrendous disease and so a cure cannot wait!

The funds we raise are helping to advance research that will eventually lead to the breakthrough that we all need.
