In March 2023 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer Stage 1. After undergoing a lumpectomy, 6 rounds of chemotherapy and 10 sessions of radiotherapy I was on the road to recovery and enjoying life to the full.

In August 2025 Northampton Hospital unfortunately informed me that my cancer had returned.

After several CT, PET, MRI scans, a 2nd and a 3rd opinion by travelling to both Nottingham & Cambridge hospitals. The lung surgery at Nottingham hospital confirmed Stage 4, reoccurring triple negative breast cancer in my left lung & right hip.

2026 The year in which I turn 50, the year I have so many plans. Staying positive that I will be able to do majority of these lovely things!

First line treatment of chemotherapy and immunotherapy is due to commence at the end of January. Therefore the party celebrating my 50th year is taking place on 10th January to raise a glass and support this charity close to my heart. Research in particular is needed to find treatment with better outcomes for women with reoccurring triple negative breast cancer!

Update in March 2026 I was taken into hospital to find that the cancer has now spread from my lung and hip to my pelvis, ribs, sternum, right shoulder blade and spine. The cancer in the bones had caused a fracture in my upper spine and sternum. Therefore emergency intense radiotheraphy was undertaken. I continue now with a weekly regime of immunotherapy and chemotherapy. I'm staying positive as a team of 30 are doing a Mosey for Mand Saturday 6th June. A walk up to 45km to raise more money for this amazing charity.

Update from 5th June, I have just been discharged in time to cheer everyone on in the walk from a 3 night stint in the hospital. Unfortunately another fracture to the spine therefore i recieved a round of intense radiotheraphy whilst admitted in the hospital. Pain is now needing to be controlled by a syringe driver and injections. So BIG thanks to the district nurse team who will be paying me a visit twice daily or at least once daily.

I received my scan results & 2nd line treatment chemotherapy & immunotherapy is not working as the cancer is still progressing. As from Weds 10th June I will start 3rd line treatment Trodelvy. 🤞
