Dhruv never missed an opportunity to have a cold beer in the sun and to bring people together through his warm and cheery smile!

More than 40 friends, family and colleagues have decided to "be more Dhruv" and impulsively sign up to the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, running various distances ranging from the Hairy Haggis relay to the Marathon.

We are raising funds for the Edinburgh Cancer Centre where Dhruv worked since 2020. Dhruv loved being a doctor and helping his patients and he was proud that he was making a difference. Following Mum's cancer diagnosis when Dhruv was 21, he knew he wanted to become an oncologist and worked hard studying and writing exams to achieve his goal.

He was very passionate about cancer research and spent many hours outside of work on his research papers and academia, which he really enjoyed. Through our efforts, we not only wish to cherish his memory, but also raise funds for some very interesting projects currently being developed at the cancer centre which will improve the care experience for patients and staff.
