For those of you who have met my dad, you know that he is my hero, so in September 2024, my whole world seemed to stop when he told me the unthinkable had happened...

Hearing one of the people you love most in the world tell you they have cancer was crippling, but all I knew was that we had to fight this.

Watching my dad go from being in the best shape of his life to someone I almost didn’t recognise was heartbreaking, but one thing made it bearable: the staff at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

The care and compassion they have for each and every patient is amazing, and it truly feels like you are being cared for by family.

My dad is now thankfully in remission, but the fight is still not over for him or the countless other people that have been or will be affected by cancer.
