On Saturday 23rd, a group of us from Advanté are taking on a 13km sponsored walk from Benfleet to Southend in support of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity – a cause very close to our hearts.

As a business that works closely with the construction industry every day, we know just how vital the Lighthouse Charity is. They are dedicated to the emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing of construction workers and their families, providing a lifeline when it's needed most.

The charity offers a range of free, proactive resources for the industry, including a confidential 24/7 Helpline, the text HARDHAT service, and a free Self Support App, offering advice, guidance, and support whenever it’s needed.

Importantly, the Lighthouse Charity receives no public funding – they rely entirely on the industry to ‘support their own’. That’s why fundraising like this is so crucial.

The construction industry sadly faces some of the highest rates of mental health challenges, and without charities like Lighthouse, many would have nowhere to turn.
