Story
I’m running the Paris Marathon 2026 for Dementia UK.
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of running 26.2 miles through the streets of Paris, raising funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nurse charity.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My wonderful Nan suffered from Alzheimer’s, and I know how hard it can be for families to navigate the challenges that dementia brings. At the time, I didn’t know about Admiral Nurses, but I wish I had. Families don’t have to struggle alone, and Admiral Nurses provide the specialist support, guidance and compassion that make such a difference in people’s lives. They’re all clinically trained, often having worked in the NHS, and they are a lifeline for those who live with dementia and their families.
Training for a marathon is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia and the families who love and care for them. Every mile I run is for them, and for my Nan.
I’d be so grateful for your support. Every donation, big or small, will go directly to Dementia UK to help provide more Admiral Nurses, giving families the care and support they need and deserve.
Please also share this fundraising page and spread the word about Dementia UK and the support it can offer. I wish I had known for my Nan. Improving the knowledge of the incredible work of Dementia UK will help others in need.
Together, we can make a difference. 💙

A bit from Dementia UK:
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
