Walking, cycling or running the distance from Amarinth to Normandy beaches (316 miles)

The RBL are the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.

Story

To mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Amarinth will be raising money for the Royal British Legion.

All Amarinth staff are splitting into two teams to compete in our D-Day Anniversary challenge, as part of our environmental committee’s campaign to encourage staff to embrace sustainable travel methods. As a team, they must cycle, walk or run the equivalent distance from Amarinth to the Normandy beaches – a total of 316 miles!

It took 6 days to plan the D-Day landings so the challenge will be run over 6 days from Saturday 1st June to Thursday 6th June 2024. All staff are getting involved, but which team will reach Normandy first? Which team can raise the most money? Which team will complete the most miles overall?

Please sponsor our teams by donating to the Royal British Legion via our JustGiving page. Amarinth will match every penny that is raised by staff.

Thank you for your support, and may the best team win!
