Story
This October, I’m challenging myself to swim 21 miles – the equivalent of crossing the English Channel – in support of LOROS Hospice.
That’s around 1,344 lengths of a standard 25-metre pool, and I’ll be spreading the distance out over the month to complete it. It won’t be easy at 77 years old – it will take time, commitment, and a fair bit of stamina – but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those living with life-limiting illnesses and the families who support them.
LOROS provides specialist care, comfort, and dignity to thousands of people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland every year, often during the most difficult times in their lives. Their work is truly inspiring, and I’m proud to be doing my bit to help ensure their vital services can continue.
If you’re able to sponsor me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation – big or small – will go directly towards helping LOROS support more patients and families when they need it most.
Thank you so much for your support.
