Story
🧠 Why I’m Running the Berlin Marathon for Brain Research UK
In 2012, my mom had a brain tumor removed. Thankfully, it wasn’t malignant and her recovery was smooth — but it put brain health on my radar in a real way. When I started looking for a charity to run the Berlin Marathon with, Brain Research UK was an obvious choice. It’s a meaningful cause, and I’m proud to support the work they’re doing.
💙 Why Brain Research UK Matters
Brain Research UK funds essential research into brain tumors and neurological conditions that affect millions of people every year. Their work supports:
Better treatments
Better outcomes
Better long-term support for patients & families
Breakthroughs that only happen when research is funded
It’s straightforward: research saves lives and improves futures, and organizations like BRUK rely on people like us to keep that progress moving.
🏃♀️ Why Berlin? Why This Challenge?
Running a marathon is no small thing — but it’s nothing compared to what many families go through when facing a brain condition. Supporting BRUK during this race gives my training purpose beyond the miles. Every run, every long training day, every step in Berlin helps push research forward.
🙌 How You Can Help
Your donation, big or small, makes a real impact.
It doesn’t just add to a total — it fuels research that leads to answers, treatments, and hope.
If you’re able to give, I’d be so grateful.
