Story
We are raising money for the Bath Neonatal Unit that is very close to our families heart. The NICU was and still a big part of our life, which we only feel is right for us to do our bit and raise money for them.
Harry is doing a pier to pier swim in Bournemouth to Boscombe which is a total of 1.5 miles. Harry has been very dedicated and training hard for this event. Between the gym and swimming there’s a lot of hours going into this.
Our little boy was born at 27 weeks and 4 days weighing 2lbs 2oz. Amber was rushed in for an emergency c-section which followed by Hunter having a prolapsed cord and when he arrived he needed 12 minutes CPR before being taken into the NICU on ventilation. We were advised he was a very poorly baby and that he has a Chronic Lung Condition, at present we are unaware if he will out grow this or not but Hunter copes very well in his day to day life. Hunter spent a total of 69 days in NICU which became a second home for us, the staff were like extended family by the end of Hunters stay.
Hunter is now thriving, he is 2 years and 5 months weighing 30lbs 2oz. We regularly take Hunter back to see his nurses and on occasions like Easter and Christmas we take lots of goodies for them all to share around departments that helped us during Hunter stay in NICU.
We aim to raise a minimum of £1,000 so any small amount that anyone can donate we would really appreciate the donation. Thank you!
