Story
Hi!
I'm Amber, and I'm so excited to be participating in the 2026 London Marathon!
I will be running for Positive About Down Syndrome, a charity which supports children with Down syndrome and their families.
The Down Syndrome Community is near and dear to my heart. I grew up with an older brother who has Down syndrome, and I am who I am today because of him.
As an adult, I have dedicated my life to supporting children with Down syndrome and their families. I am a London-based Speech and Language Therapist, and work exclusively with children who have Down syndrome. I support children from infancy through adolescence- and it is a privilege to watch them grow and develop their communication skills.
I have seen time and again how the charity, Positive About Down Syndrome (PADS), has been a lifeline for families. Having a child with a diagnosis of Down syndrome can be overwhelming and often scary! But PADS works tirelessly to get the message out that life with DS is beautiful and full of meaning and value. A world that includes people with Down syndrome is a better world. I know that I personally feel incredibly blessed by my relationship with my brother and the relationships I have with every student who I've worked with. I'm so incredibly lucky!
Community. Support. Love. and Positivity.
