Melly and Gu do "Wipeout HIV Stigma" ! ! !

On June 21st we'll both be taking part in Positive East's new summer fundraiser - Wipeout HIV Stigma! We'll be competing in a timed race through a thirty-obstacle water course, vying for the title of 'Wipeout Champion' (bets welcome on who will win).

For those of you that know us you're well aware of our love for a good water obstacle course but this time it's not just for sillies, Wipeout HIV Stigma directly supports Positive East's work in East London!

As a leading HIV charity, Positive East provides comprehensive, free HIV support and prevention services including - counselling, welfare benefits and housing advice, support groups and HIV testing and prevention to over 3,000 people every year! Every donation will support us to reduce undiagnosed and late diagnosis of HIV, to tackle HIV stigma and provide strong networks to those who feel alone!

Your donation is even more appreciated at a time when marginalised communities, who are disproportionately impacted by HIV, need our support more than ever. The government's scapegoating of migrant and trans communities is creating additional barriers to accessing support, pushing people living with HIV deeper into poverty and increasing their already high risk of poor mental health. We need to have the ability to work as hard as possible to ensure no one is left behind and everyone receives the care they deserve!
