Story
After a challenging 2 year battle, my brother Joseph passed away from cancer in 2021, on his 19th birthday. During his journey, he was supported by the amazing team at Rays of Sunshine, and was granted many opportunities - this included his main wish, to travel to New York and watch the New York Giants play. In 2019, as a family, we spent a week in New York where we went to the Giants' training facility, and watched them play at the MetLife Stadium - we even went pitch-side! This is just one example of many of the wishes that Rays of Sunshine grant to other seriously ill children like my brother, but they are only able to do this through the support of donations - so please donate anything you can to this amazing charity.
More about Rays of Sunshine:
Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and supports the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
