Story
My Daughter Amelia (8) asked if she could do something to raise money for a charity very close to our hearts, The Fragile X Society.
Her little brother Hakeem who is 2 was diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome in 2024. This is classed as a rare genetic condition which is the leading inherited cause of intellectual disability and autism. Hakeem has severe global and intellectual delay, behavioural and sleep problems, speech delay and mobility issues. Aside from this, Hakeem is such a cheeky little boy who loves being tickled, watching Cocomelon and giving lots of slobbery kisses!
To raise much needed awareness and funding for Fragile X, Amelia, myself and their dad will be taking part in the Sutton fun run (or walk in our case 🤣) on 1st June and hopefully completing the 8.5 mile course around the town. If you have any spare pennies or pounds you would be willing to donate to get Amelia to her target we would be ever so grateful! Whatever money she makes we can get Barclays to match £ for £ too! Amelia is the best big sister to Hakeem and we are so proud of her.
Thank you ❤️
