I’m excited to share that I’m running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday, April 6th 2025, and I could really use all the encouragement I can get! 🏃‍♀️

Technically, this isn’t my first marathon; I actually took part in the London Shine Night Walk in my early 20s. It didn’t go so well, I completed the full 26.2 miles but I wasn’t happy with my performance. My younger self thought it would be a good idea to:

• Not do any real training.

• Go white-water raft the day before.

• Wear a Hulk onesie (which was one size too small) for the entire 26.2 miles

• and celebrate with a shot every mile. 🍹

Safe to say, I didn’t set any records – or inspire any marathon training manuals. But this time, I’m training properly (well, mostly).

I’m running for Mama to Mama, a charity that ensures all parents and caregivers have access to the items and resources they need for a healthy and happy start to family life. Their mission is very personal to me, and knowing I’m supporting such a great cause will motivate me when the miles get tough.

Having a charity to run for also means I can’t back out.
