As I enter my final year of my 20s, I'm going to make it a year of lasting memories! Starting off by making a difference by raising money for Mind💪
So, throughout the month of January I'm going to walk at least 200 miles! I'll be monitoring my success using the Strava app & posting my progress every week😇
I achieved my Level 3 Mental Health First Aider Course in Feb 2023, which helped me understand different mental health conditions in a new light. Since then, I've been able to support friends & colleagues, but unfortunately, have struggled with taking my own advice... I'm not ashamed to state that my mental health declined in 2023, a lot of challenges were faced, but I continue to progress & rebuild!💪
Mental health is so important, so:
💚Ask people if they are okay, check in on others.
💚Take time to listen, we don't always need to speak.
💚Be kind; think if you'd like to be treated the way you treat others.
💚Most importantly; have time for you - make the time, no excuses! Do something for yourself (read, go for a walk or run, call a friend/loved one, a bit of self care, etc).
So, I'm going the extra mile, excuse the pun, to make a difference & raise money for an incredible charity!🚶♀️🎉
